Prayer for the Single

Hello guys recently I was reading an interesting post from a website about a single life. I found it very interesting since I am single at the moment and I am agree with most of the points that the writer wrote. Pardon me if the post is a little bit religious but I found it interesting. Personally I am a christian, I go to church weekly, I attend cellgroup and I do like singing praise and worship songs too. Above all that I really don't like people who really talk religiously. *Why? that's because sometimes the word and the attitude don't match up well so it's better for them to put down the religious mask.





So moving on to our topic for this post. Singleness can be really long, lonely and confusing, well really I felt that since I've been single for a few years now since I graduated. I'm almost in the middle of my mid twenties and I am always wondering till now by saying why not yet and when it will be.
God doesn't guarantee temporary joys for his children which I just realized and The thing for sure God will only provide what's the best for us or never. It's because He wanted to save us from heartache. As a normal guy like me the kind of questions like why haven't or when it will be, will always linger inside my head or the feeling like "are we being left out? forgotten or forsaken". Here are the things that really hit me straight.

• It's not my will but it's yours

It's not my will, not my plan, not my timing but it's all yours. Maybe it's not the time, maybe you want to let me see what you planned for me in my life at the moment. Until that time, this situation is to prepare me not to harm me.

• Reveal as much of yourself to me as possible while I’m still single.
  

Show me more of yourself and shape my life to reveal your glory. As I walk back out on the raging sea of life and of singleness, still my faith in you and set my eyes on you standing strong and reliable above it all. Reveal how much bigger and more beautiful you are than marriage, or any other dream or desire I might have.

• Give me faith to trust you even when I walk through pain and disappointment alone

Help me see every loss or disappointment, every moment of loneliness, every unfulfilled dream or desire, and every evidence of weakness as an opportunity to remember and enjoy the strength, hope, and rest you bought for me with the blood of your Son. Remind me that you are working all of this, every inch, in every way, for my good.

Anyway I will just embrace my singleness since it won't last long if I got a girlfriend hahaha.. No more relaxing moment with my PC and laptop. So cheers to all the single out there!
