Wah saatnya mau memperkenalkan project digital pertama gue nih yang dinamain GudangKupon. Nah gudangkupon ini sebenernya concept nya lebih ke katalog promosi online dimana visitor gue bisa dapatin coupon dan deals terbaru dari merchant merchant kayak tokopedia, blibli, lazada, jd.id dan masih banyak lagi. Sebenernya gua personally agak ragu ragu tapi yakin buat kerjain project ini dan at first gue cari partner untuk ngerjain bareng tapi susah ternyata, and giliran udah dapet baru 3 mingguan dia udah bounce out karena menurut dia ini untung nya kecil banget dan dia lebih prefer kerjain kerjaan dia yang biasa. not worth time

Few Reasons about Why you shouldn't wake up early

I recently came across an article on thisisinsider.com about why you shouldn't wake up early every day. Well frankly speaking it actually highlighted a statement by fellow inc that claimed by waking up at 5am every morning it will increase the productivity. So me myself it's neither an early riser nor early bird which comes to a state where I will be having a heavy sleep deprivation IF i wake up early. Well I usually sleep between 10.00pm - 11.30pm daily so I might feel well if I wake up at 7.30am or 8.00am daily. I hate it when I need to wake up super early because it will effect my whole day condition. I will become a little bit like a zombie by having a difficulties to concentrate.

So today I will highlight a few reason why waking up early is bad :) and I certainly feel most of you will agree with me and like the reasons.

It Could Reduce Happiness
Well I know a lot of successful people tend to wake up early to get a head start on their work. however According to circadian neuroscientist Russell Foster, there is no research that says that by waking up early makes you more productive. It also doesn't mean you'll be richer which leads to there's no difference in socioeconomic status between late and early risers. In fact, in a certain survey on what makes people happiest, the number one factor was by getting enough sleep and social interaction was far below that. I kinda agree with this statement since I highlighted before that I will feel bad the whole day if I lacked of sleep by waking up early then it will lead to destroy my mood. anyway it's my thought though :)

It goes against your biological nature
Dr Michael Breus who is also known as "The Sleep Doctor", stresses that our bodies are programmed to function best at certain times of the day. This preference will be different from person to person because each of us have our own  biological clocks. Our biology influences what times of the day we are most productive and most overwhelming majority of all people are not built to consistently wake up at 5AM. Well unless you're a cock or lion which is built to wake up early, don't force yourself to. You might be able to do it for a short time but it's not sustainable and you are going to crash if you do it all the time. I sleep almost the same time every day like if I sleep at 10pm, I will wake myself at 6am however if I sleep at 11pm I will wake myself at 7. So i try to adjust my waking time and my sleeping time so that I can fully concentrate at work.


You Lose Productivity
Waking up at an unusual time for you will cause you a sleep deprivation. Well If you always sleeping at 1am or 2am due to work, It will be bad if you are trying to wake up early like 5 or 6. Because when you're tired, you'll loose focus and also productivity then you will become more irritable and less functional. Do you know that it will affect your metabolism status as well.
Studies estimate that the effects of sleep loss can mirror those of intoxication. In fact, one study found that after 17 to 19 hours without rest, people performed the same as or worse than someone who had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level of 0.05 percent. Reaction times were 50 percent slower in people that were sleep deprived in comparison to those that had been drinking.
For those few people whom are biologically predetermined early risers, waking up at 5am may be natural and helpful for you. However the rest of those are built to sleep on a different cycle and trying to change it is like trying to fight gravity. "No matter how high you jump you will always be pulled back down by it". If you're starting to loose productivity it is good if you can plan a holiday or you can read my other post about how do I feel about traveling.

By the way please don't feel bad because you're unable to wake up early, I told you I am not an early riser as well. The thing is if you feel you have a good rest, can be more productive or feel happier then why should you feel bad by not waking up early. My thought of this, waking up early is good when you sleep on time before 10pm however if you're the late night sleeper it will affect your biological sleep cycle, decrease your happiness and in the long term, it will risk yourself to get a heart attack because of the lack of sleep.

How Travelling Has Taught Me To Be A Happier Person

I am indescribably happier when I am travelling and there is no doubt about that. However I know that one day I won't be able to travel like I do now since I need to have a house and family one day. I won't be able to drop everything and just go wherever I want again as I needed to find a way to feel incredible myself by just let myself go somewhere without thinking about work or any stupid problem. Actually I am glad that I can have the chance to travel and see the world (*that's what I always convince myself) so I don't go out and travel, I haven't seen the real world.
